Throughout the past seven years, the diligent work of 55 employees contributed to the one million hours of incident-free production in TST’s facility.
Thermal Spray Technologies (TST) (Sun Prairie, WI) recently had reason to celebrate with the commencement of its one millionth hour with no lost time.
“One million hours with no lost time is a notable accomplishment in an industry with a high potential for injury,” said John Fehl, a member of TST’s production team. Generally, manufacturing companies experience workplace injuries every one to two months.
The safety and wellbeing of employees at the TST and all other Fisher Barton companies is paramount. Employees participate in annual training sessions and are encouraged to speak up about any safety concerns. The safety precautions and protocols instituted by the company exceed OSHA requirements and help ensure safe working conditions for employees.
On July 25, more than 120 employees and their families gathered to celebrate the safety milestone at the firm’s facility. The celebration included food and drinks, guided plant tours, and a raffle.
“It’s great to see our focus on safety paying off with such an honorable milestone,” reflected Andrew Birkett, an engineer at TST. “And to see the company celebrate this accomplishment with everyone that made it possible.”
